Water provides a perfect metaphor for the nature of life itself. It’s fluid and expansive and cannot be contained. To try and hold it is futile but allowing it to pass through, rather than grasp, can be cleansing.
Water is also instructive with regards to how one may optimally meet life. Do you allow yourself to be immersed and infused? Do you match its flow or do you fight against it? Do you make yourself rigid in order to restrict it?
Stifling its movement results in stagnancy. Take note that standing water can breed the undesirable as can a restrained existence. Both life and water teach us to remain fluid in order to flourish.
